System Anomaly Feedback Functional Lead
Location: Chantilly, VA

Position Description:

Responsible for the coordination of Mission Assurance efforts to support and advise both space and ground systems throughout the contracts process through Standards development, into design by ensuring analysis and feedback of operational data to programs through various means including working groups, PUMPS (Parts, Unit, Material, Processes and Sub-Assemblies), and targeted alerts as needed. Individual will be expected to interface with senior members of program offices, directorates and offices, as well as operators at various ground stations.

Develop and implement a common operating anomaly tracking, attribution, processes and tools.

  • Immediate alerting of anomalies that potentially affects other programs.
  • Analysis of trends in anomaly root cause and in the collection process.
  • Publish best practices to avoid and manage anomalies in the future.

Required Skills:

  • BS in engineering, physics or related technical degree
  • 10+ years’ professional experience
  • Technical knowledge of spacecraft components, ground architecture hardware, and software
  • Technical and managerial report writing ability
  • Knowledge and experience with databases
  • Data Analytical ability
  • Experience with Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)/ Failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMECA)
  • TS/SCI Clearance

  • Knowledge of the Westfields customer and Operations
  • Reliability engineering
  • CI Polygraph
